If you are a potential illustration client, if you are looking for an affordable children book artist , concept illustrator or need a freelance artist to work on a pod project ( I do not descriminate print on demand material for sure; I love it ); do not forget to take a look at my illustration portfolio (Fantasy or Childrens Book art ) and I´m always available to discuss future work.
If you have a dream, no matter what your budget is don´t hesitate to contact me and let´s see what we can do.
I´ll post the link once the book gets to be available but in the meantime here are some of the pages I´ve illustrated for the project sometime ago.

And about this one, “untitled animation project” is all that I am allowed to say due to a confidentiality agreement. 😉
This is a set of 6 color concept art small sketches/paintings done over a weekend.

It was not in my plans to create an animation out of the low poly basic models I did in Blender sometime ago but things just kept building up and I ended up with a bunch of random animated “takes” somehow.
Then I thought that maybe they could be edited to form some sort of animatic although I never planned any logic into the thing when I first build this stuff.
Also it was never my intent to create a complete fully rendered animation or anything as I don´t have the hardware for more complicated adventures or time for 3D, unfortunately.
I built this “space city” model because I wanted to create some illustrations based on a pre-existing 3D Blender model to paint on top, but then I thought that as long as I had built it, I should try to animate it a bit…
A few weeks later I ended up with more than 40 different “animated takes”.
So what you see is a really rough space port thing. I had a lot of fun edditing all those bits togheter and adding the sound effects into it, using the amazing free video editing software HitFilm 4 Express which you can get at : https://hitfilm.com/express
If you found that some bits had some fuzzy “narrative” logic that´s because I´ve worked with random takes which had no initial planning of being used to build a logical storyline animation. 😉

Here´s another step by step painting tutorial for those of you who enjoy looking at the creative process. This is one of many ways of creating this sort of science fiction alien planet landscapes and scenery.
I begun this one trying out some random sketches in small thumbnails. As you may recognise the first one with the spiked landscape I later used for my “Retro Rocket” illustration too.
Enjoy.

Just a few pages from a comissioned comics work I did a couple years back.
American comics style is really not my thing as I grew up in the 70s in the golden age of European/Belgium/French stories so trying to emulate the graphic look of typical EUA comics is not something that I enjoy much but I needed to create something similar for this job to work and so here´s a few images from that.
What follows is an animatic and some concept art, out of what started as a regular project but now has also become a portfolio piece for me. It´s the first time I use a 3D software to create the base for illustrations and in this case I used Blender from Blender.org to create the next animation.
Unfortunately my old 2011 hardware is no match for the current rendering requirements out of these programs and so instead of a fully complete high res detailed model animation I was only able to do the rough animatics which you can see below.
Nevertheless the idea was mostly to give some depth to the original 2D work I did out of the first Blender model work and so for now it´s enough for my objective here. Enjoy.
Each 12 seconds of this simple animatic took me about 18 hours to render and this was in low res, so you can guess how old my 2011 hardware now has become. It´s good for traditional digital painting but I know that if I want to continue with this animation experiments I will need to get a new computer soon.
LIGHT YEARS : CONCEPT ART
(BLENDER + PHOTOSHOP)
Next you can see some of the 2D concept artwork created out of the original Blender files with aditional painting work done in Photoshop.
Of course these types of pics can reach the level we want but for me this was a test and so let´s see how this goes when related to future projects using these same techniques.
